Sigma 20mm Overview of Technical Specifications
The Sigma 20mm lens is available in its native Sigma mount as well as for all the other classic DSLR camera bodies, including Pentax, Minolta, Canon and Nikon. The salesperson told me that this lens is extremely fast, a fact to which I can certainly attest to after having used this lens. The large diameter glass element, which allows the photographer to shoot at very wide apertures, makes for a rather massive lens that weighs 520g and measures up to 89x90mm. The filter size required for this lens is equally large, being a whopping 82mm.The optical construction of the Sigma 20mm lens consists of 13 different elements, made up of two aspherical elements and 9 aperture blades. Users get a surprisingly large maximum object magnification of 1:4 and the minimum focus distance of the Sigma is 0.20m, making it very suitable for macro photography. I really think for the quality it delivers, the Sigma is definitely a good buy.
